Celebrating 30 years of Prime
1992 was a historical year, the 25th Olympic games took place in Barcelona, for the first time in history, three astronauts walked on the moon simultaneously, the cold war ended, AT&T introduced the video phone, and Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Ruby Jubilee. Most importantly... Well, at least for us, Prime Creative opened its doors for business. Our passion and love for design and marketing have driven the company from strength to strength, enabling us to nurture and help develop our clients' businesses.
We have seen a lot of changes over the years. The digital revolution changed the game for marketers, providing new tools to communicate and be creative. Google, social media & mobiles have further helped us reach bigger audiences worldwide. Staying ahead of technology is key to advising our clients on the best route forward and combining it with a focused strategy.
We asked our team to reflect on a news event that stood out to them over the past 30 years. Here is the outcome - in 2005, Facebook launched in England; at the time, this was exciting as it was explicitly aimed at building relationships and connecting people, especially old school friends. Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011; yes, we have a romantic among us! In 2014 same-sex marriage was legalised, and as a country, we could further stand for equality and the right to free expression. In 2017 Trainspotting T2 was at the cinema - inspiring a new style of cinematography. Of course, 2021 was a roller coaster of emotions, but a couple of football fans on the team found the silver lining that England reached the finals for Euro 2020 even though it was 2021.
As consumers and business people, the world, technology, and how we communicate and make decisions has changed dramatically over the 30 years. We would like to say a huge thank you to our clients for allowing us to share their marketing journey and all the exciting projects we've worked together on along the way. We know the future holds many exciting opportunities for Prime and its clients; we will continue with clients in mind and creativity in our hearts.
